Mayor's visit to business in the frame for success

The Mayor of Dudley has visited a borough business which is in the frame for more success with its cutting-edge technology.
Councillor Anne Millward visited manufacturing firm Frameclad at its premises on the Pensnett Trading Estate as part of the Made in Dudley borough initiative.
Frameclad is a steel frame manufacturer, which supplies components, frames and structures for the construction industry.
It employs 50 people and owes much of its success to offering the most advanced technology and products as an alternative to traditional methods of construction.
By using light gauge steel framing to produce the materials for construction there is potentially a huge saving in time, weight and cost over traditional methods.
It has the ability to work on small-scale projects where clients require stock lengths and components to more in-depth, large-scale projects which are predesigned, fully engineered and assembled.
Since opening a new factory on the estate in 2018, the company has doubled its capacity and now occupies two units covering 50,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space.
