Dudley borough businesses can tackle the challenges they have faced while developing new products and processes at a roundtable event next month.
Experts from support organisations like Business Growth West Midlands, Innovate UK and MADE Smarter will be available to offer advice to entrepreneurs who are looking to improve their business’s production line or turn new ideas into reality.
The roundtable will take place in Dudley at the Very Light Rail National Innovation Centre, home of the Black Country Innovative Manufacturing Organisation, on Tuesday 9 July from 4pm to 6pm.
It is part of Innovate Dudley, a new campaign from Dudley Council which aims to help businesses in the borough to bring about changes which improve production, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
Paul Mountford, head of economic growth and skills at Dudley Council, said:
"Innovation can be broken down into two categories – anything new to the market or anything new to the business.
"Most innovation happens internally, through the improvement of a business’s processes and systems, and this type of innovation will be our main focus for this roundtable and upcoming series of events.
"There is a big gap between Dudley borough and the rest of the West Midlands in accessing support for innovation and we're determined to make sure that our local businesses are not missing out.
"Innovate Dudley will connect our manufacturers and other businesses looking to improve their processes with expert advisers. It will also offer valuable opportunities for them to network, collaborate and share best practice."
Tickets for the roundtable must be booked in advance via Eventbrite.
